Fredia Gibbs

Fredia “The Cheetah” Gibbs (born July 8, 1963) a.k.a. “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World” is a sports icon and Muay Thai kickboxing legend. Gibbs is a 3 Time World Champion in Kickboxing and the first African American female to hold the world kickboxing championship for the International Sport Karate Association. She is known for having a very balanced attack as a kick-boxer that includes a ferocious overhand right, a mighty left, and lighting quick feet.

In 1990, after moving to North Hollywood, California, “The Cheetah” adopted kickboxing as her sport under the instructions of Rubin Urquidez, David Krapes & Bangkok’s Master Sur Puk & Saekson Janjira of Muay Thai Academy of North Hollywood. Her Muay Thai manager was Felice Levair & her publicist was William Peele of Los Angeles, Ca. The move to kickboxing was a natural one for Gibbs who had first starting kicking at the age of 11 (and received her black belt at the age of 23) while studying martial arts under the instruction of Master Rick Berri, Nick Nichols, and her Uncle William Groce of Quiet Storm Karate Club in Chester, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Gibbs won her first World Tae Kwon Do Championship Tournament in St. Petersburg, FL, beating the 2 time returning champion from Puerto Rico.

It didn’t take long for Gibbs to burst into the kickboxing world as a fierce contender and great female warrior. She amassed a kickboxing record of 16-0-1 with 15 KO’s. Gibbs’ only draw came from an exhibition fight with a male. Her greatest accomplishment as a professional kickboxer came when she shocked the European circuit by winning the ISKA World Championship with a knockout during her fight with the heavily favored Valerie Henin in "The Battle of the Masters" PPV show. The defeat in April 1994 made Gibbs the first African American female to hold the world kickboxing championship for the International Sport Karate Association. After her kickboxing career, Gibbs moved on to the world of professional boxing achieving a record of 9-2-1 (2 K0). She made her debut in January 1997 by winning in a decision over Maria Fortaleza Recinos. In her next fight, Gibbs went on to beat Daniele Doobenen by outscoring her in a four round fight. Later that year she managed to stop two of her opponents, Gail Grandchamp and Annaliese Kolan, by relying on her strength, aggressiveness, and consistency.

Gibbs got her first shot at a boxing title March 21, 1998. Her boxing coaches were Randy Shields and then Terry Claybon, Hollywoods' Celebrity Boxing & Acting Coach. Despite opening a cut over her opponent Leah Mellinger’s left eye, Gibbs was defeated for the first time in her career. Fortunately, the defeat wasn’t enough to stop Gibbs; she fought back by moving on to win her next two fights against Olivia Gerula and Hannah Fox, both by a six round unanimous decision.

After taking a brief break from boxing, “The Cheetah” returned to the ring June 8, 2001 for a fight against Susan Howard at the Hollywood Park Casino. After winning the four round fight in a unanimous decision, Gibbs proved she was still a great female warrior.

On November 16, 2001 Gibbs went on to battle it out with Sumya Anani, IFBA Intercontinental Junior Welterweight and IBA Lightweight champion who had previously beaten Christy Martin. The exciting 10 round fight ended in a majority draw, leaving both fighters with their first draw and the WIBA World title vacant.

Gibbs' next fight against Kanicia "Queen Bee" Eley put her on the same card as Laila Ali in the hometown of Ali's father Muhammed Ali. After fighting four rounds against Kanicia Eley, Gibbs was declared the winner. She then decided to go up against Sumya Anani again, less than two years after their original match. Unfortunately, the rematch had a disappointing end for Gibbs who injured her right hand in the first round leaving Anani to win by TKO. Also for the past 7 years Gibbs has been the sparring partner, trainer & corner person for Mia St. John.

Mayra Conde

Mayra Conde (born January 28, 1969 in Guatemala City, Guatemala) is a professional Personal Trainer and mixed martial artist, who has also competed in bodybuilding, kickboxing and brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Conde hails from Guatemala City, where she grew up on her grandparents' farm. She has spoken fondly of her time there in interviews, as well as citing her grandfather as "my source of strength". However, at the age of nine when her younger brother was born, Conde moved with her parents to Toronto, Canada, hoping for a better education.

Her early years as an immigrant were tough; "I was constantly picked on because I couldn't speak English and was very small". Conde proved up to the challenge, never failing a grade, and is now bilingual, speaking both her native Spanish and adopted English. While still at school, Conde got into sports drinks and nutrition through her father, which led to her becoming a bodybuilder at the age of 16. Her muscular physique proved useful when she moved into construction work after high school. Earning a living as a welder, she would later become a foreman. Meanwhile, she continued to attend fitness seminars and read any health-related books she could get her hands on.

In summer of 1996, Conde moved to Los Angeles for the love of Personal Fitness Training, and in search for something bigger and more challenging. California brought Conde her first taste of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, training at the Beverly Hills Jiu Jitsu Club with such luminaries as Mark Kerr and Bas Rutten. Learning from them and another trainer, Marcus Vinicius, she would later fight in the US, Brazil and Greece, Japan, and was a part of the groundbreaking all-female "Hook N Shoot" Revolution promotion.

She was asked her to represent Team Canada at the 1st World Wide Pankration Championships on 11 November 2000, in Lamia, Greece. Despite a last minute notice and traveling at her own expense, she earned two gold medals. She was later invited to train with Coach Scott Miller and the Women's Wrestling Team at Pacific University in late 2002 and March 2003. Conde is a Purple Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor, having studied under 4th Degree Black Belt Master Marcus Vinicius and Bas Rutten at The Beverly Hills Jiu Jitsu Club.

Conde is now living and working in Frankfurt am Main, Germany as a professional Personal Trainer. According to German authorities (in Frankfurt), she is the only foreign Self-Employed Personal Trainer authorized to live and work in Germany, without the need of an employer at first, due to the fact she is a high level Certified Martial Artist/Instructor/Personal Trainer.

Lucia Rijker

Lucia Rijker (born December 6, 1967) is a Dutch professional female boxer, kickboxer, and actress.

Rijker has been on the cover of numerous magazines including Inside Kung Fu. As a professional boxer, she has won the WIBF Welterweight Title, and has beaten name fighters such as Marcela Acuña (5th-round K.O.; Acuña was 0-1 going into the fight, and 19-4 as of June 2005), and Deborah "Sunshine" Fettkether (10th-round decision; Fettkether was 8-4-3 going in).

After winning her first 14 fights, but failing to secure a match with Martin, Rijker stepped away from boxing in 1999 to pursue a career in Hollywood. She co-starred as Billie 'The Blue Bear' in 2004's Oscar-winning, female boxer-based film Million Dollar Baby. She was also featured in the documentary film Shadow Boxers. She played a minor role in Rollerball (2002 film) and had a brief cameo in the season 2 finale of The L Word as Dana's trainer. She returned to The L Word in Season 5 as Dusty, Helena's cellmate in prison. Rijker also played a Romulan communications officer in the film Star Trek. Rijker also auditioned for the role of the female terminator in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and was one of three finalists.



Rijker stated that although not retired as a professional boxer, she would only consider one more fight - about with Laila Ali.
She remains busy giving lectures and seminars to athletes and people from all walks of life to perform their best, while still maintaining her top physical form and a strict diet.

Natascha Ragosina (Natalia Yurievna Ragozina)

Natalya Yuryevna Ragosina is a Russian boxer.

Ragosina won the 1996 and 1998 European Championship in kickboxing. In 1999 she switched to boxing in 2001 and was world champion at middleweight in 2002 and 2003 European champion.

It was in Germany in 2004 with Sport Events Steinforth professional at super middleweight and will be trained by Torsten Schmitz. In July 2005 they defeated the famous American woman Valerie Mahfood on points. Laila Ali, her dream target respondent was able to defeat Mahfood twice prematurely.

29 October 2005 Ragosina won the vacant world title and defended it the WIBF been four times now she is in possession of the title of the WBA and GBU. Ragosina is geführt.Stand in the independent computer ranking as the number one Professional boxing record of their weight class in March 2008

On 25 May 2007 Ragosina met her former opponent Dakota Stone, against which they had already won. Ragosina Dakota Stone suggested by points, and defended her title for the fifth time a fight against Laila Ali was sought. The management of Ali has rejected the offer of 1.2 million dollars. The reason is that boxing is not currently fit into their career and family planning. On 15 December 2007 in Dessau Fountain defeated Ragosina Akondaye unanimously on points and is now reigning world champion in the five associations WIBF, WBA, WIBA, WBC and GBU.


On 15 March 2008 Natasha Ragosina won by a unanimous points verdict to your five belts have 2 new belts (IWBF and WIBC added) and has set a new record. She is now 7-times world champion at super middleweight. 28 March 2009, she fought against Iva Weston of Trinidad & Tobago and won the battle for abortion in the sixth round.


Last Ragosina fought on 3 July 2009 against the US-American Laura Ramsey and clearly won on points. It was Ramsey's first defeat in a professional fight.
